Committee meetings are held six times a year we held our last meeting on Thursday the 22 June in Byron Bay…
We covered a few different topics in our meeting last week, one of the discussions that arose was around Airbnb. In December last year, Airbnb started advertising tours and promoting experiences as well as accommodation, adding to the guest’s curiosity.
One of the main concerns was – How will it affect small tours and other operators in and around the area? This could potentially become a danger zone, going on adventures that may turn into disasters with inexperienced individuals in a world that are unfamiliar to them.
The Byron Bay sub – committee have also been working extremely hard to get the Byron Ball up together and to run as smoothly as possible. It is a SOLD OUT event! With a fantastic opportunity to network, as well as bouncing great business ideas off each other.
