Urgent call to BOA members - short break deals required for new Tourism NSW youth campaign

Dear BOA members,
Next week, Tourism NSW are launching a new youth campaign, targeting 18 - 30 year olds. BOA members are encouraged to take part in this campaign by offering up a short break experience to be promoted online.
If you are interested, fill in the form/s below, and send back to Tourism NSW by Friday (details follow).

YOUTH CAMPAIGN DETAILS
Tourism NSW will create an extensive digital and social media campaign to inspire travellers to visit Sydney and Regional NSW. The program will be rolled out in two stages:
Stage 1: The first burst of activity commences on May 19, 2011 for a six week period and will target young Australians and international residents and encourage them to take a short break in NSW.
Stage 2: The second and ongoing bursts of activity will roll out in key international markets in the next financial year.
The objectives of the youth campaign are:
- to position Sydney and NSW as Australia's premier destination of choice for 18 - 30 year olds globally, and
- to increase visitation, visitor nights and length of stay from this group.
What’s happening:
- A range of high-profile young people have been recruited to support the campaign including celebrities, chefs, filmmakers and bloggers.
- A series of films have been developed around key experiences including nature, food and wine, adventure, beach lifestyle, events and festivals. These films will be published across sydney.com and visitnsw.com and social media channels including Facebook and YouTube.
- A competition will also be run via Facebook to win a holiday in NSW.
- Extensive online content has been developed and will be published on dedicated youth pages on visitnsw.com and sydney.com. Tourism NSW's consumer websites - visitnsw.com and sydney.com currently average around 600,000 visits per month and generate over 200,000 direct leads to industry per month.

1. Offer a Deal
Tourism NSW wants operators to provide travel offers or package deals suitable for short breaks (2-3 days) for this campaign. Accommodation, attraction and tour deals will be accepted.
Validity: All offers provided are required to be valid from May 20, 2011 through to 31 August, 2011. Travel must be completed by 31 August, 2011.
You must complete the appropriate form and return it to Tourism New South Wales by Friday May 20, 2011 to be involved.

Tourism NSW will load your offers onto visitnsw.com and sydney.com and will send you a copy of how it will be displayed, you will need to approve this.
