Following a successful stand at the Adventure Travel and Backpackers Expo in Sydney at the end of 2010, BOA NSW was taking centre stage again at the Expo in Melbourne on the weekend of 20-21 February, basking in large crowd numbers.

Over 500 Expo visitors dropped by the stand, which was emblazoned with newly produced BOA 'I love NSW' posters and t-shirts. Many tried their luck with the jam-packed prize wheel, whilst at the same time learning more about how to work, study and play for longer in Sydney and NSW.

BOA collected data from stand visitors who entered the draw to win a trip to Sydney for two people. Highlights of the survey included:

• 83% had been to NSW
• 23% were International travellers
• 33% said Sydney was their favourite place in NSW
• 54% were under 30 years old

The Melbourne stand was organised by BOA Committee members Kristy Carstairs, Rick Schindler and Chris Harrison with special thanks to Ali Humphries from Wake Up! who's skills at selling New South Wales made BOA's presence at the Expo an outstanding success.
